Please Contact Us Current Opportunities Senior Accountant: Perform audit engagements as specified by engagement partners; conduct and supervise fieldwork for teams assigned to client audits; supervise engagements with attention to staff development, budgetary guidelines, timely delivery and resolution of technical issues; review management letter, reports, financial statements and all work papers; participate in several engagements simultaneously; work directly with client to coordinate audit activities and plan; ensure availability to answer client questions as requested, looking for opportunities to provide additional services to clients; may supervise and train staff and in-charge accountants or team members; review and analyze client internal controls; complete all financial statements, footnotes, and supplemental information; perform compilation and review engagements; prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns for partnerships, trusts, corporations, high-net worth individuals, and work on related research and planning; and perform as an internal bookkeeper, including account reconciliation and year-end write up. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, plus 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a small public accounting firm, providing comprehensive tax and accounting services to partnerships, trusts, corporations, and high-net worth individuals. Special Requirements: The experience must include 2 years of experience with the following: performance of client-focused services to non-profits, government agencies, and businesses in the property management, insurance and financial services industries; audits of pension plans, HUD properties, non-profit entities, and manufacturing and investment management companies; computation of payroll and sales taxes; preparation of estate tax returns; CCH ProSystem fx tax and engagement software, Quickbooks and Ultratax. The position also requires demonstrable knowledge of GAAP and GAAS, and pertinent IRC Regulations for different taxed entities; and a valid U.S. CPA license. Experience may be gained concurrently.
